Goa will likely be the 1st state in India from 31st of December to go cashless. No more carrying your purse for any purchases, since all transactions will be easily done via mobile.
- One will need to dial *99# from mobile phone, which is not necessary to be a smartphone
- Follow instructions properly to complete your transaction.
- Money will be deducted from your bank account.
Even small vendors have been introduced to this tech-savvy system who don’t use the swiping machines. People can buy their everyday items like fruits, fish, vegetables, clothes, daily needs…
This move will have no ban on any cash transaction but encourage all cashless transactions. Also, there won’t be any minimum limit on the cashless money transfer and no extra fees will be charged, as said by CM Laxmikant Parsekar.
The mobile will work as your bank after you register it with your bank under unified payment interference, said Manohar Parrikar¸ Defence minister.
